Definition of Domestic Students
Hi,
This question might be off topic here, but just need a clarification if the senior members can help.
If I move out of New Zealand after getting citizenship and NZ Passport and start living abroad. Will my kids (also NZ Citizens by Grant) still be considered as Doemstic students if they want to return after few years to attend NZ universities and pay domestic fees??
Or they have to live in NZ for some time before they can get admission to university as domestic students??
Regards

Here is the official definition of a domestic student, as it stands at the moment. https://www.education.govt.nz/our-wo...estic-student/ Notice, we can't read the future and say the NZ government will always grant this to citizens based overseas. (As an example of a different idea, the UK only accepts even those who are citizens as being a "home student" if they live in the country and have lived there for three full years before applying.https://commonslibrary.parliament.uk...rt-in-england/)
