Visitor Visa extension
Hi everyone,
We moved to NZ three years ago, and are nearly 3 years residents (PR application still processing).
My wife’s mum has come to visit, and arrived on a 3-month visitor Visa-on-arrival. We definitely want her to stay longer (preferably for about 9 months so that she can be here for both boys’ birthdays).
So I need to apply for a visitor visa extension.
At what point does Immigration start asking for medicals? I would prefer not to send my mum-in-law for an immigration medical. Is it based on age of applicant (72 years), or the duration of the stay request (> 6 months? > 12 months?)
Thanks
David
