Passport sent to VFS Global in Syndey - Any advice?

Hey

hopefully someone can give me some insight into the process.

I was approved for a residency visa and needed to send my passport for processing. I assumed it would not take any longer than 7 weeks.
The passport was sent to VFS Global as stated on the website, and they responded to me for a payment request.
I sent the payment the same day and noted is was delivered the following day and claimed the same week.

However, this was 5 weeks ago and I still have no idea when to expect my passport. I've tried contacting VFS but they don't respond to emails and their phone lines are all automated.

I'm due to travel to Ireland in a week and obviously can't do so without the passport.

Has anyone ever dealt these VFS?

As a helpful follow up.

I had to open several chains of comms with these guys. They were processing my passport after a visa approval.

Turns out they had misplaced my passport and spent the past week looking for it. My passport was with the department who profess visitor visas and not logged. This process should only take a couple of weeks.
