Dependant Children Residency

Hi there, we are coming back to NZ with my wife and my baby born overseas. She is coming with a 6 months visitor visa and I want to apply for her resident visa as soon as we enter the country as her medicals expire soon (they were not needed for her visitor application). I am filling everything now so I can submit once we are on NZ soil and I have realised there is no questions related to financial support? Is this ok? I thought there was a need of financial sponsorship as well for residency applications?

As always Jandm your help and time given on this forum is much appreciated. I did follow all the steps on the online application for dependant children of residents and there was no questions at this stage regarding financials , I will however keep an eye for anything in the future.
