Hi everyone!
I'm planning to apply for partnership residency in May and since the processing can take time, I'm not hoping for a decision before the end of the year. That being said, it's been a while since I've seen my family and so my partner and I were thinking of flying to Europe for a few weeks sometime in June or July. Would leaving the country for a trip be a bad idea while the visa process is ongoing? My current visa and travel conditions will still be valid for a while but what I'm mainly worried about is the possible interview INZ might want to have with us. Would they contact us via phone or email to let us know it'll be happening and will we have any say regarding a suitable time? Are there any other reasons why travel isn't a good idea or can we go ahead and book our trip with confidence? Any advice is appreciated!
Best regards
Kelli
