The online calculator normally gives you green result a day after you finish 240 days.

When am I eligible for NZ citizenship?

You are eligible when you meet all of these requirements:

• you have a visa that entitles you to remain in New Zealand indefinitely; and
• you have been physically present in New Zealand for a minimum of 1,350 days during the 5 years immediately preceding your date of application and for a minimum of 240 days in each of those 5 years, being days during which you were entitled to be in New Zealand indefinitely; and
• you are of good character; and
• you have sufficient knowledge of the responsibilities and privileges attaching to New Zealand citizenship; and
• you have sufficient knowledge of the English language; and
• you intend, if granted citizenship, to continue to reside in New Zealand.

Refer to Section 8 of the Citizenship Act 1977.

Meeting the presence requirement alone is not enough, despite what the poster above me is inferring.

Applied in person: 07 March 2023
Three emails received and replied to on 26 April 2024:
1. to confirm details
2. to send marriage certificate (even though they didn't want NZ marriage cert when I had it with me when applying)
3. to confirm English language requirement (even though they said I don't need to when I was applying)
Approved: 13 May 2024 (so little over 14 months)
Email says that within 1-4 months they will send me another email regarding ceremony in Auckland.
