That's good. According to the algorithm, you will be eligible within 3 months. If you are curious about the algorithm itself, please see the link I post in the original thread

    A quick update here....

So far it's been a breeze contacting DIA. They have been very responsive and helpful. They helped do a manual calculation and confirmed that I (my wife, in fact) was eligible. They also said we could just copy them an application number so that they could help look if the failed calculator result is causing any delay :-)

Thanks for the information. Evidently, no-one needs to worry overmuch about what the online calculator, known to be faulty, says, as DIA is aware, and is willing to be helpful.

Very good to hear that your communication with DIA is a breeze. How did you approach to them to get responsive reply?
In my case, I have called DIA and escalated the case 3 times to get someone took me serious.
As for emailing to DIA directly, though escalated once, got same result as call-center suggesting me to wait until 5th anniversary and then apply, which it's clearly not accurate.

I simply sent an email to `citizenship@dia.govt.nz`. By responsive replies, I meant a few days or just over a week to get a reply on each message - which was perfectly fine to me.

I've got to the bottom of this temporary work visa causing the problem - all thanks to this thread of yours. For me having a different experience, it was perhaps because they were already aware of the issue due to your actions from before. Thanks again! :-)

Awww, thanks for saying that! I am very glad that your communication with `citizenship@dia.govt.nz` went so smoothly! It was a quite different story, but it's a past now. DIA's prompt response to this issue indeed suprised me. I have always thought government is super slowly taking actions.

Anyway, I do hope we could get our approval's very soon Keep us updated

Yep. It was quite stressful story for me, as I might happen to be the first one to bring their attention to this error code 213. At least DIA reacts really fast! And you are right, people won't need to worry too much about the online calculator.

    It is down now:

    Error 403 - Forbidden
The web app you have attempted to reach has blocked your access.

It is a total different story for me. I emailed them and explained all the details about the error 213, provided INZ travel records to show I’m eligible (I have stayed more than 5 years from the day I applied 17/04/2023 and all the requirements).
They just told me to wait to have an officer allocated so they will do crossing checking. I know an officer will need to be appointed, but the issue is the delay/waiting time. Any suggestions from here? I’m going to call them again and probably lodge a complaint.

I would suggest to escalate this issue until they appointed someone to email you directly. That was my case. Or, like emktx suggested, email DIA directly and also escalate this issue if you get the template response.

I am pretty sure that DIA now is aware of this issue. So, the problem is you need to find someone is willing to support you
