Quick update, I just received a case officer's email asking me to provide additional information, as my passport & birth certificate doesn't provide town information for my birth place. So, I think my application has been allocased to a CO and is under assement.

Thanks for your advice! I have been emailing them for a few times already, they just not willing to offer help.
I will call them today, if they don’t respond with anything different, I will lodge a complaint so they escalate my application.

Congratulations, I think that’s a huge progress! It is so good to have you people here, so I know I’m not the only one here! Hopefully they will take my application seriously after my call today

called them just now. they advised me two things:
    1. there is no escalation process, no one can escalate anything regarding application process. you can only make compliant.
    2. there are two systems for presence calculation. one is for public, which is the DIA calculator we use, this calculator is just an estimate. another one is for their internal use, they use that one to check if you passes the automated checks.

I highly doubt on what she has advised me. there are people who escalated the matter and got manual checked by DIA. I think she was just trying to clam me down so I won't make any dramas.....

it is very frustrating... anyone can tell me how they successfully escalated their issue? many thanks

Hi all, very helpful information about error codes. When I ran the calculator today and opened the inspect element window, I saw the code 200 next to "presence calculator" type "xhr". However when I clicked on the response tab in this popup window, I see this:
Status code:216 "is eligible":false, "message":"Not eligible due to visa validity period too short","eligible Month":null.

What does "visa validity period too short" mean in the first place?

Can someone please help me interpret why I saw code 200 if I have "visa validity period too short" ?

    Thanks heaps!

You need to look at the popup window to see the `Status Code`. 200 next to the `xhr` is telling you the http request is successful, nothing to do with the result.
In short, your status code is `216` means you don't have enough time yet to met the presence requirement.

Sorry for the confusion. I was asking if anyone on the forum received the code 211 ( eligible within 3 months).

    Hi All,

I have checked the presence calculator, and my response code 200. However, based on my manual calculation, I am eligible for July 2023(toward the end of july or Aug 2023)

My resident visa granted Aug 2017. I came here on April 25th for a week for entry and permanently moved Nov 25th, 2018, since then I have been staying here.

Just checking, do you think I am eligible given that response code 200, means I am eligible, OR wait until July?

    Thanks,
    Mo

Quick manual check for you, as of today and assuming that you haven't left the country since 25 November 2018:

    Period 1 (6 May 2022 to 5 May 2023): 365 days
    Period 2 (6 May 2021 to 5 May 2022): 365 days
    Period 3 (6 May 2020 to 5 May 2021): 365 days
    Period 4 (6 May 2019 to 5 May 2020): 366 days
    Period 5 (6 May 2018 to 5 May 2019): 162 days
Total across all periods: 1,623 days

That would imply that you do not currently meet the presence requirement.

Make sure that you're not confusing the 200 HTTP response in the result header with the code in the response body: the latter is what you want.

    Hi Kelerai,

Thanks for checking, but bit confused with the HTTP code.
I believe your calculation as an example. I have calculated like this based on my arrival date 25th Nov 2018 and never left since then, which means i am eligible this year. Please let me know if my calculation correct.

    Period 1 (25 Nov 2022 to 24 Nov 2023): 365 days
    Period 2 (25 Nov 2021 to 24 Nov 2022): 365 days
    Period 3 (25 Nov 2020 to 24 May 2021): 365 days
    Period 4 ( 25 Nov 2019 to 24 May 2020): 366 days
    Period 5 (25 Nov 2018 to 24 Nov 2019): 365 days

    Thank you
    Mo
