    Default Parent residence visa

    Hi guys,

    I have a brother back in India who is 36 years old. He is fully independent and lives on his own.

    Me and my sister we both New zealand citizen and want to sponsor our father for residency in nz.

    My question is, does my brother counted as dependent child in my fathers application? He is 36 years old and fully independent and lives on his own and not married yet though

    Can anyone advice?

    You just answered your own question. Based on your statements, he does not seem to meet the criteria for a dependent child, as defined by INZ here: https://www.immigration.govt.nz/new-...ndent-children
