Default Visitor visa decline - reason: ties in home country

    Screenshot 2023-11-27 213717.jpg

    Hi there,

Recently, my brother applied for a visitor visa and I sponsored him but unfortunately, it got rejected on the basis of ties in home country. can anybody please advise what further evidence is required for him to qualify for a visitor visa?

    Thanks in advance

What evidence, of what situations, did your brother put forward, which INZ found not sufficient? Sometimes, people are refused when they haven't mentioned enough situations which link them to their home country, and sometimes, it's a matter of not having given enough details.

    Thanks JandM for your reply!

As he is self-employed in his home country... he uploaded these documents,
    1. cover letter mentioning that he is visiting me on a family occasion
    2. Company registration certification
    3. cover letter for details of plan in NZ
    4. National identity card & Passport

Only the above documents, looks like not enough

I suggest he gets some evidence of forward planning for AFTER he is back home from his NZ visit. For instance, correspondence with clients relating to work they have booked him for, medical appointments, bookings for him to attend a conference relating to work, or a neighbourhood matter... He should think around showing evidence of as many worthy people as possible who are confidently expecting him to show up - and seek inspiration for booking himself in for things.

Oh thanks, this makes sense... I have asked him to get more evidence like that, bank statements, company income tax documents & office rental agreement on his name
Hope he get approved this time..
    Thanks again for your guidance

What they want to see are reasons he needs to be there in his home country, AFTER going back, so definite appointments/commitments are what are needed.

sure thing, understand it is required as he is self-employed... also his wife is staying back there I have asked him to upload his marriage certificate and a letter from his wife about he needs to come back
