2024 Citizenship Ceremonies/ Timeframe

Hi there! Hoping to see if anyone else is as curious as I am with how the ceremony dates and details are. I have done some research and it seems like councils from other parts of NZ have their Ceremony dates for the year published (i.e. Wellington, Whangarei, Nelson etc, sample below) except for Auckland?

Is this simply because Auckland has the most applicants? Anyway if you guys would be kind enough to share the below details, it would be much appreciated!

A slightly different question: how are the invitations to citizenship ceremonies sent - by email or standard post/courier? The DIA website doesn't specify.

Done via email. Same sender as when you will receive the approval email ‘Citizenshipoffice’.

all by email! also, if it helps, after I got my citizenship email approval, i didn't hear from them for a while until i emailed them and asked for an update. apparently I have already been allocated a time and date, but they don't send the email until its 3-4weeks from the ceremony

Date when ceremony email is received: 23.01.24
Your Location (or Suburb if in Auckland): Three Kings
When & Where the Ceremony is: Puketepapa, on 18th March but due to personal reasons have been moved earlier

September 2022 - Applied
February 2024 - Approved
February 2024 - Citizenship Ceremony Letter Received
March 2024 - Ceremony Date (West Auckland).

Just want to share our timeline as well:

Date of Citizenship Submission: 7th Nov 2023
Date of email approval: 19th Jan 2024
Date when ceremony email is received: 14 Feb 2024
Your Location (or Suburb if in Auckland): Westgate (Massey North), Auckland
When & Where the Ceremony is: 4th Mar 2023, Te Atatu

I actually sent the citizenship office an email a week before to ask when ours (my partner and I) are tentatively scheduled, and they initially told us that it will be in May 2024 in Auckland Town Hall. Good thing I clarified the venue as I know that they assign you to a venue located within your local council. And given that we are under West Auckland, they corrected this and we got scheduled to an earlier date at the correct venue.

Wondering if there's anyone else here attending the same ceremony?

Congrats MBB. Mine Citizenship Ceromany is on 4th March at Te Atatu too.

Congrats as well maxxpaynez! I'm guessing they have 250-300 candidates invited for our batch, so we might finish past 9pm
