Email sent to citizenship office re ceremony: 11th April (I am letting them know I can do two locations in NZ as I'm in between two spots) No response yet but just happy to be approved so quickly!

I was a solo applicant
I was on a partner work visa first, then the partner resident, permanent resident and I applied for citizenship once the presence requirement calculator went green. I had no English requirement as I am from the UK!

My Application was smooth too. I applied as a solo applicant , I got my residency from Accredited Employer Work Visa in 2019. No English language proof submitted. No proof was required when I applied for residency as it was through AEWV.

My partner was contacted regarding identity referee this week, where the application was lodged in May 2022. Do DIA contact the identity referee at the late stage before they nearly finalise the application?

We don't know of any set order they have to follow when going through the checking procedures, so I couldn't say that this approach to your identity referee just now means anything any particular.
