Very unfortunate.
They have significantly increased the fees for visas that are essential for families. They understand that anyone eligible to apply for a resident visa will do so regardless of the cost, which is why resident visa fees have seen a substantial rise. Meanwhile, there have only been minimal changes to visitor visa fees.

Look at entrepreneurial category. The thing that NZ required. they tripled it! from 4000 to 13500!
