    Default Shipping from the UK

Can anybody reccommend a good economic reliable shipper who will also store the things in NZ until required.
    Do quotes vary enormously??
    Thanks

We are shipping tea-chest size boxes only (and a few extra large bits like snowboard kits and prints/mirrors) and will probably go with Anglo-Pacific.... quoted just short of £700 (excl insurance) for 15 tea chests to be packed, shipped, through customs etc and delivered door to door. They can "store" in the UK so I suspect they can store stuff in your destination They were very friendly - worth a call / email:

You can also rent a small storage unit for yourself usually cheaper than the storage costs of a removal/shipment company. The advantages apart from financila are that you can get to all or part of your stuff at any time without further charge! Every time you want something out of storage from a commercial removal company you will be charged by the hour (NZ$ 45/hour) so beware!!!!!!!

I am storing a 20 foot container load in an oversize storage unit for NZ$245/month.

I'll second what Karl has said. they have a lot of self storage places here that seem quite secure. just like the big yellow storage places at home and you can have access to them to get at your stuff whenever you need to. well within normal working hours anyway.

Talking of shipping - we've been in Wellington for a few weeks now and we'll be shipping over a few boxes of stuff (DVD, surround sound, CD players, PS2, piccies, etc...) and wondered if anyone knows how much this would cost?

    Cheers guys,

We go in 10 weeks, but have yet to pick a shipping company. We've had various quotes but it's very difficult to chose. Although they all recieved the same list of stuff, they all came back with differnt volumes and sizes for boxes etc. and wildly different prices. We have no real furniture just bikes, sports gear, cd's, and lots of pictures!
I'm leaning towards Anglo pacific or PSS, but who knows! :?:
Any tips from people who have used either of these would be much appreciated.

Crown have offered us the best service so far, always there with little queries, where the others are less accomodating.

We are still in the UK but our stuff will be going with Crown.

We've looked at Anglo Pacific, Eagle, check also the following link

We have used Bishops move the guys that packed our stuff were great and they service that we received before hand.

BUT BEWARE!!!!!! for those people sending things groupage, we had our stuff packed on 15 th July and they have only just finished filling our container which is being shipped this week. So we won't see our stuff until mid October we have been told the ship is due in on 11th Oct

Never mind hopefully it will get here eventually
