IRD Application Form

Think this is my 2nd question recently so only about 998 to go!!
Have just printed off the IRD application form (IR595) and bare in mind we are still in the UK,is there anywhere over here I can send it to rather than offices in NZ?
Also do we need them for our girls? (8yrs and 10yrs),not on benefits over here.

Hi,

We applied for our IRD numbers from the UK and put our UK home address on the forms. They were very efficient and we received them in about seven days after applying.

Where did u send your form though? was it somewhere in the UK or did u have to send it to NZ?

You have to send them to IRD in NZ.

I believe the only reason the kids need IRD numbers is if you want to open a savings account for them. Otherwise, they get them at 16, a bit like our National Insurance numbers.

Don't worry.
Just filled them in and printed off,one of the easier forms!!
