...can these be purchased in the UK? Something I saw on Tri Girls blog got me thinking. Get em over here so I can doll the number out before I go and be ready to rumble as soon as we touch down (In three weeks - woo hoo).
Thanks

The only mobile provider that has Sim cards is Vodafone.
If you go the the Vodafone NZ website you should be able to buy a new sim pack online and have it sent to you. They cost about $35 and that includes some airtime (about 10 bucks worth I think).
now there's something that doesn't get said very often!!Something I saw on Tri Girls blog got me thinking
seriously though - i thought my mum was the only person who'd ever read it!
From what I can see from the online shop it appears it can only be dispatched to an address in NZ. However, you can set up a PO BOX from the UK and have it delivered there waiting for you when you arrive. You are able to choose your telephone number when you make the purchase.
How do I do that?Originally Posted by seagulls

I'm pretty sure you can buy them at Auckland airport (I hope so as thats what we're planning)
OK so you don't get to choose your number but other than that?
Maybe I should set up a service sending out sim cards to people?
Seriously though, I'm sure other people have had them sent to them - maybe via a third party company.
i remember reading on here about a company that would send them to you but can't find it now.
I'll have another look
actually it looks as thought you can buy them in the uk before you go!

bit more expensive than getting them in NZ though
