    Default Baby shoes

Hope you able to help me there!

Before we came to NZ, i got my both children to have new shoes from clarkes, but my youngest was 9months but crusing around, so i want to get her crusier shoes. As she had weight problems since birth to 7months, she end up very small at three/four months behind for her age, therefore her feet was under size 1 at 9months so didn't get any shoes (even crawler shoes is too big) . Now she is very strong walker and i want her to have shoes to walk around outside but i took her to specialist children shoes shop, she is now just size 2 and narrow. This lady apologies that she haven't got any in stock yet till mid march. Do anyone know apart from carlton mew's 'tiny toes' and bishopdale's 'in step' got any very good baby shoes in chch?

    Thanks

These guys are in Auckland, but if you have had her feet measured, it might be worth contacting them and see if they will send you some?

Snap Sophia! Now that Alex is finally walking, I need to get him shoes. Beckenham Shoes has been recommended (in Beckenham obviously). I've heard of Tiny Toes, but it doesn't exactly come recommended. I might try In Step - apart from not having your size, was it any good? Have you tried Ballantynes?

    Well where i start!
    1. Beckenham, not been yet, that my next job, as been greatly recommended by a friend too, not cheap as i have been warned.
2.Tiny toes, well because it is end of summer, there are isn't many baby shoes left till mid-march when winter shoes come in from overseas as she sell european shoes as not recommend NZ shoes as they are not that good compare with european (i don't know whether to believe her there, but i have seen most nz's like farmer etc, not impress).
    3. In step, well your choice, i am not going back there again , the lady haven't got any clue! Seem i know more about clarkes shoes that she does!!!!
    4. Ballantynes, no i haven't and got no ideas.

Got another ideas in pipeline....my SIL work for mothercare in UK, they have clarkes section in major stores, I have asked her to post out Clarkes' measurement kit if she can get hold of it, so i know what uk size she is, then ask my SIL to post out a pair of shoes for Romilly as work out cheaper too!! All shoes i have seen is between $90 to $120!!!! Sale start at $50 onward (but not many at baby size) where UK's start at £16 to £30.

Thanks Sophia. I'm going to have a look in Tiny Toes next week anyway to see if there's anything good in the sale (need to get shoes for the girls too). If I have no joy there, then I'll go to Beckenham. Think I'll give In Step a miss! I know what you mean re the NZ shoes for kids! Maybe it's because kids don't seem to wear shoes here! I'm happy to go along with the 'when in Rome' attitude for most things, but not wearing shoes isn't something I'll ever encourage!
