According to Crockers Property in January 2017, Aucklanders are paying around $599 per week to live in a three bedroomed rental property and $472 per week more to live in a two bedroomed rental property in Auckland.

The February 2017 Barfoot and Thompson rental report stated that, in the Auckland Central suburbs, Aucklanders are paying around $598 per week for a three bedroomed property and $468 for a two bedroomed property.

From the selection displayed, the Tenancy Services Division figures show that in Auckland Central the most expensive average rent for a two bedroomed house is in Ponsonby / Freemans Bay at $682 per week. The cheapest is in Otahuhu at $400 per week.

For a three bedroomed house in Auckland Central the most expensive average rent is in Ponsonby / Freemans Bay at $850 per week and the cheapest is in Otahuhu at $495 per week.
